Thunder Bay – Fire Some Managers – Get Their Attention

I was talking with a visitor to the city in front of the tourist pagoda.  She was looking for information.  It was 1:55pm.  This is what she saw.  She left in frustration.  You think she is going to drive all the way out to Terry Fox Lookout and then back again?  Seriously?

I came back at 2:30 and nothing had changed.  What exactly is going on here? Closed for lunch?  Back at 9:10?  Closed?

The sign says its open on Saturdays from 10-6.

As I said that residents of Thunder Bay will grudgingly pay taxes if they believe they are getting value for that money.  I do not see value here.

Things need to change in City Admin.  Fire some managers. Get their attention.

I think the pagoda had polkadots on it, maybe it still does, but either way, I like it. To have such a beautiful tourist pagoda, means our waterfront is beautiful moreso plus it has condos with a few people living in them & a hotel for rich people and a cool fountain you can walk in. I also was at the marina once and saw a bunch of kids sitting there smoking at the skate park, so maybe they were all waiting for an event that showcased world class skating or something, but I don’t know, I had to go.

I have been to the Terry Fox Tourist thing mary times & more than not it is closed as well.
It is during their operating hours I have visited, but there’s noone at home.
The Pagoda has also never been open when I have tried, but I expect incompetence near the joke marina project.
        It’s amateur hour around here.
        Very classless.

a few months of tourists and can’t staff right?! Fire all involved at the top at Shitty Haul! Put an automated robot in the pagoda instead….solved!

I agree with the writer – this is pretty pathetic if someone is being paid to staff the Pagoda – especially as it is in the tourist area of the waterfront.
Who is responsible at City Hall?
