Thunder Bay – Monday – One Month To Christmas Day

Miserable day for photography but I did take some.

I hate those trucks.  I know they perform a much needed service but the noise the pump makes is horrible. Enough to drive you insane.  You can hear it for several blocks in every direction.  I can’t imagine what it was like in the apartments above.

Looking for colour

Trash in context. Lots of discarded cups in this city.

Close…

Trash in context. Ice is not melting.

First time that I can remember this sidewalk being cleared of snow since it was built.   Seriously. We are talking about…forever.

Always been covered with snow.

Never cleared of snow….ever.

For some reason, the sidewalk along the south side of the boat launch parking lot is not cleared all the way to the end.

If you want to walk across the street, you need to leave the sidewalk and walk along the entrance to the parking lot.

Why the clearing operation stopped short of the street is unclear.

Tundra Swan is still hanging around.

More colour on a miserable day.

Looks like the duck stranded on the ice yesterday has survived to quack another day.

As you can see, all of the ice that was present yesterday is now all gone.  The warm weather yesterday made short work of that ice.

Trash in context.

Lots of plastic floating in that lake.

MV Federal Montreal

MV Irma

MV Algoma Harvester

MV Algoma Niagara

Trash in context. Its nice that all of the litter takes on a seasonal tone.

Possible Christmas card

Possible Christmas card.  Soo many choices…

Looks like an ad for Coke.
