I know. Its simple idea. A classic Simpson episode that comes to mind immediately whenever someone starts talking light rail in the City of Thunder Bay. I’m a supporter of public transit. The train idea is stupid. We did have streetcars way back when. Those tracks are still being ripped up in the downtown north core. Then we had electric trolleys. All that was dumped for the almighty diesel. More flexible was the reason.
Better to have a water bus that has a route along the waterfront or a boat that goes out to Silver Islet. Hiking along the Sleeping Giant is an untapped resource and giving people a way out there from the city makes sense.
Also, when is the City of Thunder Bay going to make the new waterfront development agreement signed earlier this year? The delay makes me believe that something is being kept from the public. Something that does not look favorably upon our City Administration/Council.
Also, also, Joe Bova has now officially run out of June. Is he an official liar now? If so, why does the City Admin have so much faith in anything he says or promises for that matter,
