Canada – Not Surprised That Hajdu Was Not Surprised

Hajdu not surprised to see provinces hit COVID pause buttons

British Columbia has ordered all night clubs and banquet halls to close. In Ontario, Premier Doug Ford on Tuesday said the province will pause any new reopening plans by four weeks, as COVID-19 case numbers start to spike again.

Federal Health Minister Patty Hajdu said it’s not surprising, and in fact, was expected.

Hitting the pause button is probably a good idea for a variety of different reasons, most notably to avoid having to go back into lockdown mode across the country.

“I think we knew that we were not done. The pandemic is not done with us. We don’t have a treatment that’s effective, we don’t have a vaccine and we know we’re living with COVID,” Hajdu said at a media availability on Wednesday outside her Thunder Bay-Superior North constituency office. – tbnewswatch

Federal Health Minister Patty Hajdu said it’s not surprising, and in fact, was expected.

What else is she going to say?

“I think we knew that we were not done.

?  She thought she knew? Does she mean that they suspected the country was not done? Does that say anything at all?  No.

If things went the other way, I am sure that she would be saying that she was not surprised and that they knew we were done.  Politicians. You have to remember that they lie all the time.  You can’t believe a word that comes out of their mouths.
