Looks like a section of sidewalk is getting replaced. Hurrah! you might say. But…and there always seems to be a but, this sidewalk is on Algoma Street. This sidewalk that is now going to cost the taxpayers money to remove and replace is on the part of Algoma Street that was reconstructed in 2011. The […]
So what is wrong with this picture? What important piece of safety equipment is missing? Still missing. The end of June. Well, it appears that the City of Thunder Bay has still not installed all the lifesaving equipment at Prince Arthur’s Landing. My question is simple. Why not? Memorial […]
The patio has now begun to take shape with the erection of a glass wall that will separate the splash pad kids from the diners. I am not sure how this affects the piece of public art. Does the fact an outdoor patio will be wedged in the middle of the sculpture change what the […]

Transit manager Brad Loroff said the fence will ensure bus drivers and passengers comply with the bylaw that requires smokers to be three metres from the entrance to any workplace — including a bus. Loroff noted enforcement will be done by city bylaw officers, and said drivers have been instructed to smoke in the designated […]
