The World – Testing Positive For Sars-CoV-2

Recently I tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. In this video I explain how the PCR test was done, what the Ct value that I received means, and why I was not worried about the result.

Worth a viewing. Professor Vincent Racaniello is the host of the “This Week In Virology” podcast.  Here it discusses his positive test, the Cycle Threshold his positive test was produced and what it means.

This explains why it is important to know what the Ct or Cycle Threshold that the Province of Ontario and the labs that are testing the nasal swab samples are using.

As I said before, a positive PCR test means nothing without context.
