OK. Breathtaking views to the Sleeping Giant. So we were promised. These are the actual breathtaking views Water Garden Pavilion restaurant diners can expect,
Inside Looking Out

Yes, in this one you can see most of the Sleeping Giant….until the leaves come back on those trees. Then diddly squat.
Sitting Outside

Once again, once the leaves are out, view, what there is of it, will be gone.

Whoever had the idea to build a restaurant in this spot needs their head examined. Better place?

The Paddleboat Pavillion would have made a great spot for a restaurant, toilets and so on. Great unobstructed view. Closer to a large parking lot. This space is wasted on this …whatever it is.
No, to spend $1000/sq ft to build the Watergarden Pavilion next to the fountain/rink so the building can be used for changing facilities is a waste. Really. A separate change room building could have been built next to the fountain. The larger building could have been built elsewhere. If you do not believe me, go down and look for yourselves.
Then there is the following:

This the entrance to the Zamboni garage in the Watergarden Pavilion. The machine must cross the walkway to get on and off the ice surface. There is a nice layer of ice forming there which people will have to walk across. Nice design.
Hindsight is 20/20 you say. Well, we paid almost $8M for expertise designing this project. I would have expected a better product. I am of the opinion that Brook McIlroy did a very poor job.
