Yup…our Chief of Police makes around $2,000 less than the last Chief of Police for New York City did. I won’t get into the differences in the size of the two departments. I will mention that the NYPD is the largest police department in the US. TBPD is not. Not the largest in Canada. Not the largest in Ontario. Not even close.
So why does the Chief of Police of a city of just over 100,000 souls make almost as much as the Chief of Police of a city with a population of around 8,300,000? Inquiring minds want to know. (previous police post here.)
