Thunder Bay – Racial Harmony…Do As I say Not As I Do…

I am surprised that the Chronicle Journal would print articles (Saturday December 20, 2014 online edition) that use racial slurs as team names.  It appears that the newspaper’s policy toward Native Canadians does not exclude the use of the term “redskin”. This behaviour is all very curious.

Had Ms. Tamara Johnson used that term, I am sure the CJ would have held an editorial lynching of the former political candidate but because its the NFL and the Associated Press, then its OK. Funny how that works.

I believe that the CJ and its staff are  a bunch of hypocritical bastards. This just proves my point. They don’t practice what they preach.

Its is now obvious to me that anything the CJ says about racial harmony  in Thunder Bay  is all just a pile of bullshit.

Update December 21, 2014:  Noticed Tbnewswatch also publishes articles that contain racial slurs. (see article below)  It looks like there is a problem with a large portion of the local media.

They are ALL hypocritical bastards.

Eagles near elimination, fall 27-24 to Redskins

LANDOVER, Md. – The Philadelphia Eagles are on the brink of elimination from the playoff race after a 27-24 loss to the Washington Redskins on Saturday.

Kai Forbath kicked 26-yard field goal with 5 seconds remaining to snap the Redskins’ six-game losing streak.

The Eagles lost their third in a row to fall to 9-6. They need the Dallas Cowboys to lose their final two games to have a shot at repeating as NFC East champs.

The Redskins improved to 4-11. Robert Griffin III returned as the Washington starter and won in his first complete game in more than a year. He went 16 for 23 for 220 yards with one interception.

Mark Sanchez committed two turnovers for the Eagles, including an interception that led to the winning field goal.

Then there is this…

I would have thought that, in a city where racial and social issues are major concerns for governments and law enforcement, that the local media would have a policy on the publication of articles that contain  racial slurs of any kind.  Guess I was wrong. Sad.
