Obligatory shopping cart photos
Mentioned this sign before. It is supposed to be standing at the end of a traffic island warning drivers that the island exists. The sign has been laying here for a month?
Where the sign is supposed to be.
I would think that the sign, once it was knocked down, would be immediately replaced.
If the sign is not required, then why is it there in the first place? How any other signs are there along the streets of Thunder Bay that are not really needed?
Either the sign is needed or it is not needed. If its not needed, then remove it.
I believe that contractors need to be responsible for picking up their trash that makes its way onto public property. This trash will end up being picked up by taxpayer funded workers. I think those workers can be better utilized doing something else other that cleaning up after contractors..
or picking up after newspapers
Union Gas workers in the new parking lot located at the south end of Marina Park. The workers hate the cold but the company must love the money they are making during this cold snap.
Other trash that will be picked up by taxpayer funder workers. If it gets picked up at all.
I know I have taken a photo of this orange peel before, but I love the bright colour in an otherwise white world.
Waterfront sign watch. Nothing yet.
The “useless as tits on a bull” Gathering Circle in the City of Thunder Bay’s $70 million premier four season tourist destination. Used maybe ten days (and I am being very generous with that number) a year…including weddings. Big waste of money. Should have taken that money and put it towards a decent permanent stage in the festival area.
As you can see, people are using the Gathering Circle as a short cut. Money, well, wasted.
Heard a loud band while walking passed this area. The cold is making ice quickly. Lots of loud cracks and thuds coming from the marina.
It would be nice if we could walk out to that lighthouse. Born here. Lived here for many decades. Never been out there.
I am sure that when this area was built back in 2011 or so, the two concrete surfaces were level.
Now they are not. I wonder why? Something moved or is moving there.
Ahhh, the gang is all here. Loiters hanging out in the pedestrian overpass. Who the hell wants to walk through there? Run the gauntlet. Not me.
I alway thought that street light poles were there to hold up street lights. Did not know that they were trash cans as well. Think those wires are important?
City has owned this building for several years now. Why? It was bought back when our mayor and former City Manager Tim Commisso, remember him, were pushing for the taxpayer to spend $120 million on a hockey rink. Now it sits empty, as does the former Cumberland Cinema 5 building. The one that was going to be torn down and replaced with a 71 unit apartment complex? The 71 unit apartment complex that the City of Thunder Bay put a stop to by buying the building?
Maybe the City of Thunder Bay should sell them?
I wonder why these access covers are being removed? Are people using them to hide things? Like drugs?
