Just some things I noticed on my recent stroll around the waterfront
Interesting….chain link fence being used as barrier wall? What could possibly go wrong?
As you can see, the work of making the pedestrian overpass blend in with the other buildings of Prince Arthur’s Landing is well underway. Virtually invisible. What do you think?
Prince Arthur’s Landing’s/Thunder Bay’s premier flagship attraction lies dormant for 25% – 30% of the year. Value for money?
Several concrete pedestals have been constructed in Prince Arthur’s Landing. I wonder what they are for and what budget is paying to have them installed? There always appears to be money available for Prince Arthur’s Landing.
I never see anyone using this thing. Not even in publicity photos. WTF is it for? Why was it built?
The eaves troughs on the Pond Pavilion leak.
Has the City given repairing this? Apparently they have no idea what to do with the vandalized granite balloon animals. I am sure the artists have no interest to return and repair them……again. I am sure the millions of people that City Admin claims are using the park annually enjoyed this display of city pride.
Water does not drain easily out of the base of the $500,000 public art piece. Takes days. This has the hardware that is holding the steel whatever upright sitting in water and damp material for an extended time. Good or bad, i have to wonder why this is the case? Proper drainage is important for all infrastructure longevity.
Appears that water is being drained out of the wetland in the vicinity of the Pool 6 property in Prince Arthur’s Landing. Giant culverts are going to be installed somewhere. This may be related to the continued use of the Pool 6 property as a dump site. I guess no environmental issues? Draining a wetland? Also, what budget is paying for this work as this is in the Phase 2 section of the waterfront development.
